Teacher Norhaziah bt. Mokhtar has been awarded "Teacher Of The Year Award 2012" in conjunction with 3rd Young Writers Award organised by New Straits Times Press. The award giving ceremony was held on 6th April 2013 at Grand Putrajaya Ballroom Marriot Hotel, Putrajaya. She received a certificate, plague, cash, voucher and prizes from NSTP Managing Group Editor, Dato' Abdul Jalil bin Hamid. The award was given for her contribution and commitment in the insertion of School Times, Niexter, Journalism on Campus and Education Portal (NiEXUS) in New Straits Times.
